About Jenna
Jenna Dancy is a mother, small business owner, and longtime community volunteer who has deep roots in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. She is running for New Hampshire State Representative in a special election because she believes strong communities are built when families are trusted, decisions stay local, and government remains accountable.
Jenna is not a career politician. Her perspective has been shaped by real-life experience — raising a family, running a small business, and staying actively involved in the community. Over the years, she has coached youth sports, supported local non-profit organizations, taught in homeschool co-ops, and served on community boards. Her family also operates a small homestead in Tuftonboro, which keeps them grounded in stewardship, responsibility, and respect for the land.
Professionally, Jenna began her career in public relations before joining a startup company, where she learned to adapt quickly and take on responsibility early. She later worked in the business research department of an investment bank, starting as an information specialist and working her way up to operations director. After leaving the corporate world to focus on raising her children, she transitioned into entrepreneurship. Today, she helps run a family timber framing company, focusing on the design side of builds that reflect local materials, skilled craftsmanship, and long-term quality.
Jenna’s decision to run for office is rooted in her belief that families deserve real choices, transparency, and a voice in decisions that affect their daily lives. Education freedom, protecting New Hampshire’s lakes and natural resources, supporting strong families, and preserving local control are central to her approach to public service.

Jenna's priorities
Jenna is committed to serving the community and focusing on the issues that matter most to you. Here are her top priorities:
- Protect Education Freedom & Support Families: Education decisions should start with families — not bureaucracy. I will work to protect homeschooling rights, support school choice, and ensure parents have the freedom to choose the educational path that works best for their children. Strong families build strong communities.
- Keep Decisions Local, Transparent, and Accountable: New Hampshire works best when decisions are made close to home. I will advocate for local control, transparency in spending, and accountability to taxpayers — especially when it comes to school budgets, property taxes, and state mandates that affect our towns.
- Protect Our Lakes, Land, and Community Resources: Our lakes and natural resources are central to our way of life and local economy. I will support responsible stewardship, clean water initiatives, and practical policies that protect our environment while respecting property owners, local industries, and working landscapes.

Rooted in the community
I’m deeply connected to this community through everyday involvement — as a homeschool mom, co-op teacher, youth sports coach, and board member of a local non-profit. These roles have given me firsthand insight into the needs of families, the importance of local organizations, and the value of collaboration. They shape how I listen, lead, and serve.
"This election matters. Please plan to vote in the special election primary on January 20, and if you’re voting on the Republican ballot, write in Jenna Dancy. Showing up ensures education freedom, local control, and strong families continue to have a voice in our community. Thank you for taking the time to participate."
